Let me state first that the book is in poor condition, i.e., stained cover, torn spine, no dj, loose pages. However the autograph is wonderful. It can be removed and matted with another book or picture. The inscription reads "For the Saybrook College Library: with the best wishes of Thornton Wilder, Jan. 1936. "Well, it's all sort of poetical and sentimental, Mr. Brush, but it's all very unlike the facts of life". p.244" This last sentence is a quote from the book, pg. 244, and the entire page is in Wilder's own hand. Wilder is a 3 TIME PULITZER PRIZE WINNER AND THE ONLY WINNER FOR BOTH FICTION AND DRAMA. Email
